Medical Equipment and Device Association Committee

The Medical Equipment and Device Association Committee of CAEFI (MEDAC), is a non-profit industry association, representing the interests of both international and domestic world leading medical equipment and device manufacturers, distributors, medical science and technology research organizations. Established in December 2019 MEDAC operates through the China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (CAEFI) under the guidance of the Ministry of Commerce.

We believe that Innovation& Science are key to delivering ‘Healthy China 2030’and that a sustainable healthcare system will only be achieved through an environment that encourages innovation, improved patient care and access to evidence-based therapies. Well-managed medical institutions, training, medical technologies and services are key priorities in order to benefit the well being of the people.

MEDAC focuses on addressing shared domestic and international issues through engagement with government and industry. China is emerging as a leading force in global health governance. The reforms of the healthcare system, investment, innovation, implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan and continued expansion of the belt and road initiative will continue to put healthcare front of mind for Chinese society. Our mission is to facilitate effective government-industry dialogue that helps to improve policy environment and benefit the well being of the people.

In order to build an effective platform there are a number of key areas that MEDAC considers as priorities:
